The rescue dog is doing so well now. It's incredible to see how far he has come since the day we first brought him home. When we first found him, he was a skinny, scared stray wandering the streets. But now, after several months of love, care, and patience, he has transformed into a happy, healthy and playful pup.
One of the first things we did when we brought him home was to take him to the vet for a thorough check-up.
We wanted to make sure he was healthy and had no underlying medical issues. Thankfully, other than being underweight and having a few minor infections, he was in good health. The vet prescribed some medication and a special diet to help him gain weight and clear up his infections. We followed the vet's instructions diligently and slowly but surely, he started to improve.
In addition to providing him with proper medical care, we also made sure to give him lots of love and attention.
We spent hours petting him, playing with him, and giving him plenty of treats. We wanted him to know that he was safe and loved in his new home. It took some time for him to trust us, but eventually, he started to come out of his shell. He would wag his tail, lick our faces, and even roll over for belly rubs. It was heartwarming to see him open up and bond with us.
To help him adjust to his new environment, we also enrolled him in obedience training classes.
